Inventory tools

Everything on this page works on Main (lobby, Survival, Mining and their Nethers and Ends). None of it exists on Anarchy.

/backpack or /bp opens personal storage you can use anywhere on Main.

  • It’s kept on the server like an ender chest, so there’s no item to lose. It’s never dropped when you die.
  • It unlocks with 1 row when you finish Orin’s tour.
  • Upgrade it with the Upgrade button (the chest at the bottom):
Rows Cost
2 1,500 Stardust
3 3,000 Stardust
4 6,000 Stardust
5 (maximum) 10,000 Stardust + 300 Cinders
  • The Sort button (the hopper) tidies it.
  • It can’t be opened in the Rift Spire, the boss arena or during a duel.

When you die in Survival, Mining or any of their Nethers or Ends, your items and XP go into a grave where you died: your head on a small marker named “you’s grave”.

  • Died in the void, in lava or in mid-air? The grave goes to your last safe spot instead.
  • Right-click (Bedrock: tap) your grave to get everything back. Armour goes straight back on if the slot is free, the rest goes into your inventory, and anything extra lands at your feet.
  • Only you can open it for 30 minutes. After that anyone can. After 3 hours whatever is left drops on the ground.
  • /graves lists your graves with their coordinates and time left.
  • No graves in the lobby, dungeons, the Spire or the boss arena: you keep your inventory there.

On by default. When a hotbar stack runs out (placing blocks, eating, throwing), the next matching stack from your inventory moves into your hand. /refill turns it off or back on.

  • /sort stacks and sorts your main inventory (your hotbar is left alone). Look at a chest you’re allowed to open and /sort sorts that chest instead.
  • /stash puts items from your main inventory into chests and barrels within 6 blocks that already hold the same item. Only containers you may open; your hotbar, armour and off-hand are never touched.

Hold a shulker box in your main hand, sneak and right-click the air to open it without placing it. Changes are saved when you close it. The box can’t be moved or dropped while it’s open.

/trade <player> swaps items safely. See Trading with players.
